Schedule of Events:
The Fort Collier Civil War Center will be open to the general public on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Sepetember 19, 20 and 21st. There will be living history and self guided tours of the rebel entrenchments that saw the culmination of the Third Battle of Winchester, the afternoon of September 19, 1864. Historic Fort Collier is the site of the largest cavalry charge on infantry in American history, with over 6,000 Union cavalry under the command of George Armstrong Custer storming the fort.The earthworks surrounds a beautiful greek revival mansion known as the Stine House. The Stine house will be open to the public during the SVBF tours and on Saturday from 10am until 3pm with free refreshments and guided tours!
